President Muhamadu Buhari has been called upon to look for ways of reducing the costs of petroleum products and electricity tariff in the country considering the effect on prices of other goods and services in the country.

A Catholic Priest in Enugu State, Rev. father Clement-Mary Ilechukwu, who made the call said Nigerians are beginning to feel the effect of the increases with severe hardship.
Fr. Ilechukwu said the federal government should consider urgent economic measures to ameliorate the sufferings of the masses as a result of the cost of petroleum products.
In a statement in Enugu, father Ilechukwu of the Awgu catholic diocese, also advocated for the appointment of spiritual directors by key political office holders in the country.
He explained that the appointment of spiritual directors by the president, Governors and other top officials of government, would bring them closer to God, stressing that anyone working with God’s guidance is bound to lead well.
The clergy man urged Nigerians to continue to be law abiding, live in peace and allow the federal government roll out its palliative measures to reduce the pains on the people.
Father Ilechukwu urged our leaders to emulate God’s qualities of kindness, love, forgiveness and care for the populace.
