The Federal Government has concluded plans to inject as much as N600 billion into the agricultural sector as stimulus package.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Sabo Nanono, during a tour of Dangote Fertiliser Plant and other fertiliser companies in Lagos State.

In a statement Sunday by the Director of Information of the Ministry Agriculture and Rural Development , Mr Theodore Ogaziech, the stimulus package would be for small scale farmers for food security.
According to the minister, the federal government would first of all target about 2.4 million with inputs and not cash to avoid abuse of government funds as was the case in the past.
He said that the closure of the borders and the covid-19 pandemic have shown that Nigeria can feed her citizens .
The fertilizer companies complained during the tour that sourcing raw materials for blending of fertilizer was a big problem.
